Santa Maria di Leuca is one of the most ancient and striking sights in Apulia. Only 7 km from the farmhouse Sikalìndi, it represents the furthest edge of the beautiful natural landscape of Salento.
Exposed to the south, and enclosed between the two headlands of Punta Ristola and Punta Meliso, Santa Maria di Leuca has been an important area of worship since time immemorial.

Specchia is a hamlet of about 5.000 inhabitants situated 50 km from Lecce and only 10 km from Sikalìndi farmhouse. It is located on a headland about 150 metre above sea level, and is considered to be amongst the most interesting villages in Apulia, to the point that it has been inserted in the guidebook The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy.
